Welcome to historical surroundings at Hovin during your holiday. This large timber house was built in the 1800s and has been renovated many times later. The holiday home is delicate furnished and in line with its history. After a long day outside you can sleep well in four-poster beds from the middle of the 1800s. From the holiday homes terrace you can look out over Tinnsjøen and beautiful nature with mountains. On the ground you can find two “stabbur” from 1470 and 1684, and other, historical buildings. It is good hiking opportunities both by foot and bike in this area. It is not far to good fishing water if you would like to try fishing during holiday. It is a little hour drive to Kongsberg with the silver mines and one of Norways largest churches. To Rjukan it is also an hour drive from the holiday home. Here you will find the majestetic Gaustatoppen, Krossobanen, waterpark and the indurstrial museum. It is about an hour drive to lovely Bø Sommerland with summer-experiences for the whole family. During summer you can drive the mountain roads to the medieval valley Numedal with its lovely stave churches.
