The fjord is rich in fish, a berth is close by. Variety of excursions in the mountains, among others to the Grønrimb on forrest tracks, passing by trout waters. Just a 15 minutes’ drive away you will find the charming village of Jondal with a grocery store, a café and a restaurant. It’s possible to rent a kayak (at the tourist information in Jondal) for a first-hand experience of the fjord and the surrounding nature. We recommend visiting the Folgefonna summer ski center (18km from Jondal) with ski lifts and guided glacier tours, open from May – September. The starting point for the hike up to the Trolltunga is just a 50 minutes’ drive away, enjoy the spectacular view of the Folgefonna national park 1.000 a.s.l. We also recommend driving on the National Tourist Route Hardanger with Mikkelparken amusement park in Kinsarvik and Hardangervidda museum in Øvre Eidfjord. The Rosendal barony dating back to 1665 and Folgefonna center are just 1 hour away. Day trips to Bergen and Stavanger.
