The city offers white-painted houses, bicycle and boat rental, festivals, great food and several museums such as The Maritime Museum. Both Henrik Ibsen and Knut Hamsun have lived in this cozy city. A trip to “Dømmesmoen” is also recommended, this is a nature and cultural experience with hiking trails, burial mounds, old buildings and much more. In the summer you can see the famous play “Peer Gynt” by Henrik Ibsen. The cities Arendal and Lillesand are also not far away from the holiday house. The popular attraction “Dyreparken i Kristiansand” (Zoo) is just 40 kilometers away. You can also visit “Den Lille Dyrehage” (Zoo) at Brokelandsheia. Large parts of the southern coast belong to Raet National Park and is also worth a visit. The pool is open from 19.06 to 14.08.
