The cabin is a perfect starting point for nice walks in the mountain. Recommended is trips to Hallingskarvet in Tuva-area. Or what about a day trip to Langedrag, Bjørneparken in Nesbyen or the climbing park in Ål? The last one has fun climbing trails for the whole family, while Langedrag has a lot of activities during both summer and winter. To Geilo it is only a five minutes drive. In Geilo summer park you can go biking in nice trails. Long bikes and hikes, picking of mushrooms and berries and time with your family.
